I have thought of using some beautiful green branches on the property I rent here north of Salt Lake City, UT. They are firs, pines, etc. Will they stay fresh ‘til Christmas?

I love your simple style. It's so cheery without being over the top. And I thought that kids tree was so fun!

Everything looks breautiful. Love the skates. And all the greenery and neutral tones.

I would so love to use greenery like you did. Sadly I am afraid I would kill the trees we have. Our land doesn't grow coniferous trees well, and all others lost their leaves over a month ago. 🙁

Becareful bringing pine boughs cut fresh, intto your home. My son an enviromental science person says that ticks winter on the underside of pine limbs especially low pine limbs so when deer or other animals walk under the limbs they can drop and attach themselves to the host. So when you bring the boughs into a warm house, the ticks can become active.

Please don't take from a living evergreen tree!🌲 Branches can be properly prunned(cut)for "cuttings". I gather fallen branches all Autumn. I gather pretty pine cones from the side of the road as I bicycle or walk each day. I keep an old pail of water outside and after making a fresh cut of the greenery I've gathered, I place each into the water. After Thanksgiving I make❄ winter holiday wreaths, and garlands using twine and ribbon.❄🌲❄

Put some greenery behind the skates and you won't have to worry so much about the blades hitting the glass.
