Just a heads up for those picking up a battery bank for your Switch!!!

There are allot of battery banks out there that will help charge your Switch up nicely, but due to Nintendo using a very particular way for their first party chargers to charge the system you will be putting your system at risk of bricking if you use a third party charger. This became VERY clear when Nintendo updated the system a little while back and allot of people started posting about third party charging docks bricking their systems. There hasn't been very many cases since then but please do keep this in mind when looking into battery banks.

With that said, there are official battery banks out there and yes, they are up there in price, but they are 100% safe to use for your Switch. I know allot of people would rather go with a cheaper one, I don't blame them since I don't want to be paying allot more for one as well, but this will ensure that your Switch will be charged properly.

TOP TIP:

A lot of these accessories come up on Amazon's regular sale events. SD cards, charge packs and cases I regularly see on lightning deals etc.

have you guys tried to fill your SD cards to the brim? Ali express can be super shady and a lot of times you find counterfeit SD cards, which are re-flashed versions of smaller sized cards. This make them work out of the box, they say they have a lot of GB available, but you will reach an error once you reach the limit of the original card.

Great list video! I wasn't aware alternative joycons existed, might be worth it for party games, back in the day you always handed the unofficial pad to a mate in co op, anyway.
I have those exact large joycon grips as I too have Hellboy sized hands, very comfy but my triggers are a bit squishy and don't seem to register inputs every time. I bought them 'cos they're dockable tho', so I leave them on all the time. I bought the Flipgrip which is a cool and pretty cheap accessory, and its well built and fits like an official Nintendo product. It transforms Downwell and some Pinball games in handheld mode! I just wish more games supported tate mode.

I thought of a great accessory that I see/use all the time yet never notice it – a screen protector.
Cheap as chips and gives you that piece of mind that the screen is safe (esp since at launch ppl were whining about the dock damaging them).

Appreciate the vids and tweets a lot more now I realise you suffer from freakishly large hands 😉

I bought the "Switch GoPlay Grip" for about 13€ and now can't play handheld without it. Much better ergonomics when using the "D-pad" or the right stick.

Great vid lads. I just today sent my left joycons to Nintendo for repair of stick drift. Huge issue as I game to and from work for four hours. Wish I'd thought of picking up a cheap set before sending it back now that I've seen the vid ha. I do have the Power A controller and love it. It's great to sync the buttons underneath to 'run' in Mario Maker so you don't have to use your thumb for jump and run which sucks arse with big hands.

I thought Genki and switch up accessories were awesome. Another essential might be a tempered glass and a rubber case especially with family members who might not be the most careful with the console.

January 23, 2020

The Genki adapter is OK until you need to charge the Switch. 🤷‍♂️Let's hope the Switch pro comes with Bluetooth built-in. 👍
