SHAWARMA RICE
RICE:
1 cup basmati rice, rinsed (i used jasmin rice)
2 cups chicken stock
1 Tbsp unsalted butter/margarine
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp salt (if using salted butter, skip this)
WHITE & SPICY SAUCE:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1/4 cup evap milk
4-5 cloves minced garlic
1/2 Tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
***Add 1/2 Tbsp chilli powder, for the Spicy Sauce.
SHAWARMA BEEF:
500g ground beef
1-2 Tbsp cooking oil
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp soy sauce (silver swan)
1 Tbsp light soy sauce (lee kum kee)
1 Tbsp oyster sauce (lee kum kee)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
ground black pepper
Side dish:
1 pc cucumber
2-3 pcs tomatoes
1 large size onion
